Aaron Li our new DAAD awardee has arrived from the US. He received a DAAD RISE scholarship for 3 months to work with us. He deals with the photocatalytic production and the detection of singlet oxygen. (Link: https://www.daad.de/rise/en/rise-germany/)

Christina, our first bachelor student from the TU Braunschweig, has successfully completed her bachelor thesis. She dealt with the “Characterization and monitoring of an isomerization reaction by means of in situ UV-vis spectroscopy”. We are pleased that she will continue her work as a student assistant.

Marie-Ann gave an excellent online talk at 120th Bunsentagung. She reported about: “Why substitution matters-temperature dependent emission lifetime of Ru(II) complexes with bi-pyridine ligands”.

Oliver Lange did a great job during his research internship. He was engaged in the ”Computational investigation of electronic transitions in phenanthroline-based Cu(I) photosensitizers”.

Michael joined the group. He moved from the University of Stuttgart to the TU Braunschweig and will lead the synthesis subgroup in the future. Synthesis + Spectroscopy = Physical Inorganic Chemistry and double the fun. Have a look.
